With all the tools out there in the market they need one place where they can find insights that can help improve the health of their game and increase overall revenue for their business.
Details
Conducted foundational research, designed wireframes, prototypes, conducted usability testing at GDC (Game Developer Conference) and incremental improvements based off customer feedback and internal reviews. Worked with my team of 5 engineers and 1 Product Manager.

Problem
The Unity Services design team has about 7 designers working on various product lines across the globe. Many times we found designers had to create components from scratch and weren’t effectively using libraries and symbols. This cut into design time and we started to see some inconsistencies in the other product lines. We also needed an easy way to share the latest versions of files and be able to update them very easily if they grew stale.
Sketch Library
Solution
I organized meetings to gather all the files and components people used. I listed up all the components that are actually engineered and created a symbols library in sketch and craft. I then added the library to abstract with instructions on how to link the library to their projects, if a change is made to the master library the file is reflected on all the linked projects. I ran instructional classes on how to properly use all the new materials. Once all of of our components were harmonious from a design level we worked together with engineering to create a Confluence and Story book library.

Problem
About 20% of our user base is looking at the Unity dashboard on a mobile device. Developers want to be able to quickly sync data to their phone and have access to all the stats associated with their game. They want to be able to look at data for any time period and organize and star their projects.
Details
In terms of UX methods, I conducted a Field study in the form of user interviews with high level stakeholders at a number of game studios. I also did a large amount of competitive analysis for proven patterns and ways we can approach data visualization for mobile. I was the product designer and product manager working with two full stack engineers. Initial design and development of the prototype took two weeks.
Goal
Create mobile first responsive web app
Make it easy for users to sync data
Ability to see data for any date range
Modernized mobile experience using Unity’s Pro dark theme
